Our Vaccination Services

HPV

The HPV vaccine will protect you against the human papillomavirus which is a common virus linked to various types of cancer including cervical, throat and genital cancer. The vaccine is most effective when administered before exposure to the virus, meaning we recommend it to teenagers and young adults. You can however get the HPV vaccine at any age. By getting this vaccine, you significantly reduce your risk of getting HPV-related cancers, ensuring long-term health and protection. With this service, we will administer 3 vaccines over 6 months.

Shingles

Shingles is a painful rash caused by the reactivation of the chickenpox virus. You can protect yourself by getting the shingles vaccine. Shingles can lead to long-term nerve pain and other complications, specifically in adults over the age of 50. This vaccine is effective in reducing the risk and severity of shingles, as well as preventing complications such as postherpetic neuralgia.

Chickenpox

The chickenpox vaccine will protect against the varicella-zoster virus, which causes chickenpox. It is a highly contagious disease characterised by itchy rashes all over the body, fever and fatigue. Chickenpox symptoms are mild in most people but it can lead to more serious complications, particularly in pregnant women and individuals with weakened immune systems. We recommend the vaccine to children, teenagers and adults who have not previously had chickenpox or the vaccine. We will administer two vaccinations 4 to 8 weeks apart.

Pneumococcal

Pneumococcal bacteria can lead to serious illnesses such as pneumonia, meningitis and bloodstream infections. The pneumococcal vaccine will protect against infections caused by these bacteria and is especially important for infants, older adults and people with weakened immune systems or chronic health conditions. By getting vaccinated, you are reducing the risk of severe and long-term complications caused by these illnesses.

We are also able to administer other vaccinations upon request if they are clinically appropriate.
