Common Health Conditions Explained: Hypertension 🩸Also known as high blood pressure, hypertension is a very common health condition where the force of the blood against the artery walls is consistently too high. Hypertension affects millions of people worldwide. It can be diagnosed through regular blood pressure monitoring and managed through lifestyle changes such as a healthy diet, regular exercise, and medication if necessary. If not managed properly, hypertension can lead to more serious health conditions such as heart disease, strokes, and kidney problems. If you think you may be suffering from hypertension, you can have your blood pressure checked at some local pharmacies or by visiting your GP. #bannermanspharmacy #hypertension #CommunityPharmacy #glasgowpharmacy #NHSPharmacy ... ❌ We’re here to debunk medical myths! ❌Myth: Cold weather can make you unwell 🌡️Truth: Turns out, Mother Nature is not to blame for your sore throat or runny nose! While it is true that people catch illnesses more often during the colder months, this is not because of the cold weather itself. The only thing that can make you sick is exposure to germs and the ability of your immune system to fight them off, and we tend to spend more time indoors in the winter which encourages the spread of viruses such as influenza or the common cold. #BannermansPharmacy #MedicalMythsDebunked #NHSPharmacy #GlasgowPharmacy ...
